The Axiom Router kit contains all the components that you require to build a precision cnc machine:

  • Hardened linear rails and guides are used to ensure long life and precision trouble-free operation.
  • The bearing / guide assembly is rated at 1650 kilograms force for dynamic load and over 2600 kilograms force for static load!
  • Induction hardened ballscrews are pre machined and fitted with thrust bearings and mounts.
  • cnc machined ballnut flange mounts precisely to carriage for smooth and powerful drive
  • 0.200" pitch of ballscrew has a lead error of less than 0.004" per foot
  • Extruded aluminum frame is thicker than a steel frame of comparable strength which makes your machine more rigid to resist vibration from machining resonance.

Options and features:

  • comes complete with 140 oz-in motors, motor mounts and flex couplings and all mounting hardware

More information:

  • The axiom router kit is based upon a moving gantry design.  ( see http://www.cnc-hobby.com//cnc-configurations.html )
  • Travel is limited to 16 in. by 8 in. by 4 in. (X by Y by Z) or about the same as a mini milling machine. The overall machine envelope is 25 in. by 22 in. by 13 in. Other sizes are available... please inquire
  • Axiom is a true kit. You will be required to supply the sweat equity... if you have a drill press and can drill and tap using the accurately supplied starter holes... no sweat ;-)
    • complete assembly and setup instructions are included.
    • all components are supplied including fasteners.
    • all mounting locations are CNC drilled as 1/8 inch diameter starter holes
      •  these holes must be drilled out to the specified sizes on a drill press
      •  some holes require tapping threads to accept fasteners
    •  the ballscrews are pre-machined to accept bearings (8 mm) and motor coupling (1/4 inch )
      •  the flanges are threaded to 15/16-16 to accept the ball nuts
    •  precision ground steel flats are used for the carriage to ensure accurate alignment to the ball nut assembly
    •  the NEMA 23 stepper motors are rated at 140 oz. inches holding torque and attach to the frame with the included spacers
