Durham Robotics' Polar Drive  is a dependable, and versatile stepper motor driver

Rugged, industrialized with 100 volt, 28 amp N-channel power FETs and
3 oz. copper traces...  over designed to be dependable which means no downtime,
no lost jobs, no lost money

16kHz chopper frequency. 4000 half-steps per second ( 10 revs/sec or 600 rpm ).
Quiet operation doesn't add additional noise to the already noisy shop
Programmable current using jumpers - easy to set up because there's no need for
current programming resistors

Cool running for longer life with nothing extra to buy, heatsink is built in.

Low power stand by mode - prevents overheating of motors

Ultra smooth precision halfstep with constant high torque output - provides plenty of
power for smooth motion with no lost steps.

Connectors are ergonomically designed for real-life use , which saves time and

All driver inputs are TTL compatible for use with our Critical Motion or any PC parallel

or unregulated with 1 to 6 Amps depending on the motors used.
