The Critical Motion is a powerful, standalone G-code interpreting motion controller.
Compatible with the output of CAM software so you can design your product
and send your toolpath output directly to the controller.
Accepts standard G-code as input, so you don't need to learn a custom
programming language.
Outputs precision buffered control pulses and imports serial RS-232C which ensures
reliable operation and freedom from electrical noise
Opto-isolated limit switch and home inputs which protects your controller
for wiring errors or accidental short circuits caused by debris.
Can control three or four axes of coordinated motion which includes linear
and circular interpolation, as well as helical interpolation, which permits you
to machine complex shapes.
Programmable configuration for different pitch lead screws with different
resolutions allowed for each axis allows you to control any machine
configuration you desire.
Two high current outputs are included to allow control of relays for coolant
pumps or spindle motors.
It requires a single 9 to 12 volts DC power supply of any type, regulated or
unregulated with 1 Amp output and can supply 5 volts output to power
hall effect home and limit switches.
Options and features:
-
Powerful built in G-Code interpreter
-
Up to four axes of coordinated motion as step and direction pulses
-
opto-isolated inputs for limit and home switches
-
High current outputs for spindle and coolant pump switching
-
Processes CAD/CAM tool paths via serial port
